After going through March without a single win, newly-promoted La Liga team Almería will face a crucial match against fellow relegation candidates Valencia, in what is being labeled as a ‘six-pointer’ game.
This fixture takes on even more significance, considering that in April, Almería will play against top six contenders, such as Atlético Madrid, Athletic Bilbao, and Real Madrid.
Almería’s manager, Rubi, was disappointed with his team’s 2-2 draw against Celta Vigo, as they conceded two equalizers in the first half and failed to secure a lead at halftime.
This seems to be a crucial factor in their fortunes, as Almería has won the fewest second halves this season in La Liga, with only three wins.
Thus, the first half of the upcoming match may determine if the hosts can collect three points and move towards the top end of the relegation logjam.
